ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

About my experience learning english at University (Online): I think it is entertaining and pleasant to be able to talk with my classmates in the classes, it is important to have that dynamic to "train" ourselves in the language.

Honestly, the idea of blogs seems great to me, because with them it is possible for me to expand my ideas, opinions, etc. It also allows me to better understand the corrections on grammar.

The methodology of the course for me is fine, although it could improve by being face-to-face (in my opinion it would be more fun and motivating), as well as including short tests or games or dynamics other than dialogue between peers in the classes, since it ends up being a bit monotonous.

I also think that I really liked the way of correcting that Professor Juan has, it is very pleasant, it gives you the confidence to learn from your own mistakes, answer the questions in class and last but not least to ask questions… sometimes with some teachers is difficult or not very pleasant.

About using the language outside of class, this year, in fact, very recently I came back from Scotland, since I was part of COP26 (The 26th UN Climate Change Conference). Therefore, I was constantly communicating in English for three weeks, it became difficult from time to time (the Scots have a different accent), but with people from other countries such as Germany, Australia, Italy and France I was able to communicate perfectly. Including Spanish speaking people to the above list. In any case, I would like to practice and develop the language even more, since I feel that I have yet to learn. What aspects would these be or what do I think I need to improve? Well, mainly I would say that it is to enlarge the vocabulary, to have the ability to answer simple questions with not only the typical phrase but with idioms or to be able to ask questions of whatever you want, in short, I mean to have the ability to establish a conversation not only with the sentences learned in class, but with sentences that I think of at the time (I don't know if you understand what I mean), learn idioms, among others. Also the pronunciation, I think this is another of the most important aspects that I must improve.

Last but not least, I would say that I still need to constantly assess my level of English for a while to take the tests that will allow me to become certified in the language (which is very important these days).
