ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

About my experience learning english at University (Online) : I think it is entertaining and pleasant to be able to talk with my classmates in the classes, it is important to have that dynamic to "train" ourselves in the language. Honestly, the idea of blogs seems great to me, because with them it is possible for me to expand my ideas, opinions, etc. It also allows me to better understand the corrections on grammar. The methodology of the course for me is fine, although it could improve by being face-to-face (in my opinion it would be more fun and motivating), as well as including short tests or games or dynamics other than dialogue between peers in the classes, since it ends up being a bit monotonous. I also think that I really liked the way of correcting that Professor Juan has, it is very pleasant, it gives you the confidence to learn from your own mistakes, answer the questions in class and last but not least to ask questions… sometimes with some teachers is diffi...

CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

I think that we should change the feedback system to a more didactic one, in order to recognize the mistakes made more easily and be able to learn from them. Also, I suggest changing or adding practices linked to rural communities and small farmers or fishermen. Why we do not have so many courses linked to the linkage and management of natural resources based on climatic variations, in honor of climate change I suggest adding courses on these topics. In addition we could also have the possibility of generating our own projects (from 2 years, third semester) on the previous topics and more. I recommend modifying the academic load in some way, it must be changed, reduced and / or distributed equitably to have a decent university semester and not so incredibly stressful. How about including more scholarships, technology, courses, and more? I mean in person (except scholarships), in the faculty so many activities could be done on innovation, promotion of student projects and initiatives, o...

TIME TRAVEL TO THE PAST or TO THE FUTURE

Image
If I had the opportunity to travel to the past, I would go until a little before the green revolution began (1960), ¿why? Well, because I would definitely dedicate my time mainly to carry out a world-class intervention to raise awareness of the possible consequences and impacts on the soil (and other ecosystems) of bad agricultural practices, use agrochemicals and agronomic systems excessively. How? Perhaps teaching and demonstrating with advanced technology (that can carry the future in which I was previously found) that it is possible to achieve good productions, with high profitability and using resources appropriately (food security with socio-environmental justice). I would also like to participate in global as well as national public decisions and / or policies, to protect ecosystems, the rights of nature and animals.  ¿Who would I go with? I would go with all the girls from Tremendas (foundation in which I am in charge of the environment area). I would also go with ...

MY FUTURE JOB

Image
¡Hi again!  This time I would write about my future job I’m thinking of working in the innovation and research on the management of renewable natural resources, contribute to advice and / or public policies from my vision as an Agricultural Engineer with a minor in Management of the Renewable Natural Resources. I'm planning to work outdoors and I have in mind to travel constantly doing different types of tasks. I am currently in my third year of university, studying Agronomic Engineering (major in Agronomy).. and I’m not 100% sure, but I might to taken a minor in Territorial Management of Renewable Natural Resources because I consider it to be one of the coolest areas and that it complements the degree of Agronomic Engineering with a broader vision of the RNRs. And... ¿Why this minor?  Well because  I am a person who loves caring for the environment and climate action, in fact I am an activist and therefore I maintain a constant connection with these issues... climate cri...

ART

Image
I consider art important because it allows the human being to express (transmit visually or acoustically) different emotions or feelings, as well as generate emotions (as each person is a unique being, art can be interpreted in different ways). I enjoy the art generated by the human being and the art that I perceive in nature, because both allow me to express ideas, emotions that I perceive (landscape photography) and connect with myself; they generate in me states of happiness, peace and harmony. My best artistic skills are dancing, photography, and singing. I have participated in singing competitions (in a choir being a soprano), photography (currently) and dance (with my team we won first place in a cheerleader competition). My favorite expressions of art are definitely photography, music, painting or graphic design, dance (biodanza, ballet) and gress ceramic crafts. I consider that street art (including graffiti) is art and writing about it reminds me of the city of Valparaíso, ...

MY CHILDHOOD

Image
The songs of Madonna and Gun's n Roses make me remember my childhood, especially "Welcome to the jungle" and "Sweet Child O 'Mine", this last song also reminds me of my mother. I have always been a huge fan of those artists. When I was a child we danced and sang with my mom at least three or four times a week... another song that brings back many memories from my childhood is "Girls just wanna have to fun" by Cyndi Lauper. If I had to choose a favorite moment from my childhood it would be ‘’pizza weekends’’ with my parents, the homemade pizza was always delicious, and we watched a movie rented at Blockbuster.   It was in a water park where I learned to swim, it was almost by accident (although I think it was intentional hahah) my uncle was teaching me to swim a couple of days before that day and well... it was all for jumping into the water from a waterslide that I had to demonstrate everything I learned days before.   My childhood was a lot of fun...

THE BEST HOLIDAYS I'VE HAD

Image
¡Hi everyone!  The best holidays I have ever had was in the summer of 2020 ... It has been the best so far because I did so many great things with my friends, I went through new and incredible experiences that I will never forget that summer. I went to Cachagua and stayed with my friend Sofia in Aguas Claras for almost two months, this place is located in the Valparaíso Region, two or three hours from Santiago. Almost everyday there we went to the beach, (It's a 30 minutes walking from Aguas Claras), we stayed there for hours relaxing on the sand, enjoying the waves, eating some chips or ice cream's (also drinking water), then we returned to our house and got ready to go out again to some nearby hill or interesting place. At night we went out to party or with our friends. Other times at night we stayed in our home watching movies for hours and eating delicacies cooked by us. In the last part of that summer we decide backpacked to South of Chile, we wanted to knew and camping...
